How to Play Glym Fantasy Cricket

Follow these simple steps to get started and maximize your chances of success on Glym’s free-to-play fantasy cricket platform.

1. Register & Verify

  1. Click “Login / Sign Up”: Located in the top right or via the hero section, select “Login / Sign Up.”
  2. Enter Email: Provide a valid email address. We use OTP-based verification to confirm ownership—an OTP will be sent to your inbox or SMS if mobile number login is enabled.
  3. Confirm Age & Location: Select “18 or above” and agree to our Terms & Privacy Policy. We automatically check your IP location to ensure you are not in restricted states (Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Assam, Odisha, Nagaland, Sikkim). Attempted registration from restricted regions will display an explanatory message.
  4. Activate Account: Upon successful verification, you will see a confirmation message stating that your account will be reviewed and activated within 24 hours. This is to manually verify any potential anomalies. Once activated, you can log in and start playing.

2. Choose a Contest

  1. Navigate to “Fantasy Cricket”: In the top navigation, click “Fantasy Cricket.”
  2. Select Match Type: Choose from upcoming cricket matches listed (T20, ODI, Test). Each match displays start time (IST), teams, venue, and pitch report.
  3. Pick Contest Format: Select “Daily Contest,” “Head-to-Head,” “Weekly League,” or “Season Pass” based on your preference. Each format shows the contest rules, points structure, and current number of participants.
  4. View Leaderboard Snapshots: For each contest, you can view real-time leaderboard snapshots reflecting the top 50 participants. This helps gauge competition intensity before joining.

3. Build Your Team

  1. Player Selection Interface: You have a budget of 100 virtual credits to select 11 players. Players are categorized as Batsman (BAT), Bowler (BOWL), All-Rounder (ALL), and Wicketkeeper (WK), each with an assigned virtual credit cost based on real-life performance metrics.
  2. Squad Requirements:
    • You must select exactly 11 players.
    • At least 1 WK, at least 3 BOWL, at least 3 BAT, and at least 1 ALL.
    • Total credits used must not exceed 100.
  3. Assign Captain & Vice-Captain: After selecting your 11 players, assign a Captain (C) and Vice-Captain (VC). Captain’s points are multiplied by 2×; Vice-Captain’s points are multiplied by 1.5×. Choose these roles carefully based on form and matchups.
  4. Auto-Suggest Feature: Use the “Auto-Suggest” tool for data-driven recommendations. It suggests a balanced team based on recent performance, pitch conditions, and opponent strengths. Always review and adjust before final submission.
  5. Submit Team: Click “Submit Team” no later than 10 minutes before match start. Once submitted, you cannot make changes. Ensure your final lineup is locked in early to account for any last-minute team changes.

4. Track Live Scores & Points

  1. Real-Time Score Tracking: Once the match begins, navigate to “My Teams” under your profile to view live score updates for each player. Scores refresh every 10–15 seconds based on our API integration with official cricket scoreboards.
  2. Point Calculation Display: Points are displayed under each player’s name—batting, bowling, and fielding points are shown separately. The cumulative total (including C/VC multipliers) is updated in real time.
  3. Leaderboard Updates: The contest leaderboard updates automatically. You can filter by rank, total points, or even by your region/age group. Leaderboard snapshots are archived so you can review your performance after the contest ends.
  4. In-App Notifications: Enable push or email notifications for milestone events (e.g., your Captain scoring a fifty, top 10 rank shifts) to stay informed even when not actively on the site.

5. Reviewing Results & Badges

  1. End of Match Summary: Once the match concludes, Glym publishes a detailed match summary within 30 minutes. This includes final points for each player, total points for your team, and final leaderboard positions.
  2. Badge Allocation: Based on your performance, you may earn virtual badges such as “Match Winner” (Top 1), “Top 10 Performer” (Top 10), “Weekly Legend,” or “Season Master.” Badges appear on your profile and can be showcased publicly.
  3. Performance Analytics: Click on “Analytics” in the “My Teams” section to view in-depth breakdowns: runs scored vs. expected runs, bowlers’ economy vs. expected economy, and comparison charts against the contest average.
  4. Historical Records: All your past contests are archived under “History.” You can filter by date, match type, or contest format to review performance trends and refine your strategy for future contests.
